ITK Sports and Character Development coaches and staff have teamed up with the City of Farmington Hills to host 5-day skills & drills clinic for beginner, intermediate, and elite athletes. The clinic will focus on basketball fundamentals, shooting, ball handling, defensive principles, sportsmanship, and character development.

ITK Sports and Character Development coaches and staff have teamed up with the City of Farmington Hills to host a 5-day shooting clinic for beginner, intermediate, and elite athletes. The clinic will focus on shooting with confidence, the mechanics of shooting, and how to execute in-game shot performance on every level.

Goal- to introduce your child to the sport of soccer. The focus will be on learning the game in a pressure free environment. All children need for class is comfortable clothes.

This league allows children an opportunity to learn the basics of floor hockey. Players learn positions, stick handling and ball control in this fun, fast-paced class. There will be 30 minutes of practice and 30 minutes of exciting game play each week. Mouth and shin guards are recommended but not required.

The Volleyball Skills Clinic is a 5-week program designed for athletes looking to improve their volleyball skills. Players will learn techniques such as passing, serving, and defending. Through volleyball, your child will have the opportunity to learn important life skills such as teamwork and leadership.

The first practice will be held on Wednesday, November 6th, and will be an informal session to help coaches gauge player skill level and build teams. Practices take place every Wednesday, 5:30-6:30 for grades 3-4, and 6:30-7:30 for grades 5-8 . Games will begin on Saturday, November 16th, and conclude on Saturday, December 21st. Games will be held on Saturday mornings. Players will receive a numbered jersey.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY PROGRAM for Farmington Public School kids in high school- Participants must attend North Farmington or Farmington High. Practices scheduled to start August 5, prior to school start practices will be held in mornings- Mon.-Fri. 7AM-9AM. Practice 4PM-6PM once school starts. JV certificates and Club Varsity awards can be earned (North Farmington and Farmington High).

MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD HOCKEY PROGRAM open to all middle school kids- Not limited to FPS. Plans are to play 6-7 games for this Fall Season. Program runs approximately 3 days a week.

Strategic Play
This course can be viewed as a follow up to Supervised Play, as well as a course that dives deeper into strategic options. Topics covered and worked on include Driving-Blocking/Resetting versus Dropping-Blocking/Resetting, Patience at the NVZ, Red Light versus Green Light, Isolate and Frustrate, and 4 lanes of shot selection. Players should wear athletic clothing, gym/tennis shoes and have their own paddle.

This course works on building and practicing the skills used during a pickleball game. Each session will work on different skills. Skills worked on include; Dinking, Volleying (Block, Punch, Reset), Drop shots, Serving, Returning, Lob and Lob returns. When to use the specific skill will also be covered during the drilling sessions. Players should wear athletic clothing, have sneakers/tennis shoes, and have their own paddle.

This is a 2 week program designed for the person who has never played pickleball or has limited experience. The student will be exposed to terminology, rules, stroke types, and game playing. This course will prepare the student for social play.

This is a 6 week program. The first week will have a blind draw for partners and opponents. Based on the scoring ratios from the first week, the players will be assigned courts from high scores to low scores. Over the next weeks , players will have to compete with those players assigned to their court . The high scorer will move up a court and the low scorer will move down a court .

This course introduces strategy and court positioning while in a game playing format. The first session covers the first four shots. The Serve, the Return, Third Shot options, and Fourth shot options. The second session covers The "X", "V", and "Shading" court positioning. Players should wear athletic clothing, sneakers/tennis shoes, and have their own paddle.

It's never too late to pick up a racquet! New to tennis or haven't played forever and forgot the basics? This hour class is perfect for you. The coach will use drills to teach the proper technique of each stoke. Live ball games will help players to understand rules and scoring while encouraging the practical use of their new tennis skills.

Cardio Tennis, a high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout. This is a heavily drill and fitness focused class, so all skill levels are welcome to attend.

This class is intended for NTRP 3.5+ rated players.

Private Tennis Lessons are available for 1-hour time blocks. Each registration includes an hour time block on both days. All skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. Lessons can be scheduled as one on one with an instructor or upgraded to 2,3 or 4 participants for an additional charge. Please refer to recreg.fhgov.com for time availability and registration.

This class is not intended for new players and it requires the coach's permission to register, without permission you may be removed. Coaches will use drills to review proper technique of stokes. This class is designed for beginners ages 4-6. It will be taught with red balls on a small court with smaller sized racquets. Kids will play games and drills that develop motor skills and teach the basic strokes all while having fun!

This class is designed for beginners ages 6-10. It will be taught with orange balls on 60' tennis courts. Players will learn the basic rules of tennis along with familiarization of all strokes and an introduction to topspin. Players will have more opportunities to rally with each other.

This class is designed for beginners ages 8-10. It will be taught with green dot balls on a full-size tennis court. Player will continue developing their strokes while incorporating topspin and movement into play. In this group players will be exposed to more competition as point play becomes a large focus.

Does your teen want to get into tennis? This weekly program is designed for teenagers that are relatively new to tennis. Green dot and yellow balls will be used as players are introduced to the basic rules and skills of tennis, including ground strokes, volleys, overheads, and serves. Learning to rally and play points will be emphasized.

18+ Adults welcome! Free unsupervised match play. Players provide their own balls. Registration required and you must fit the description of the session you sign up for. You do not need to attend each week. Players new to tennis should not enroll in this program. Self-rated NTRP players are subject to removal.

Introduce your toddler to one of America's greatest games. Baseball Tots classes focus on fine and motor skills & body control. Coaches work on developing basic baseball skills, such as throwing, catching, hitting and running.

Tri-Sports Mini
Introduce your little superstar to sports in a safe pressure-free environment! This multi-sport class uses age-appropriate games and activities to introduce your youngster to a different sport each week while practicing balance and coordination. Sports can include but are not limited to Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Kickball, T-Ball & Floor Hockey.

It's a beautiful day for football! Football Tots is an introduction to football in a safe & fun environment. Coaches will work on football fundamentals using jr footballs and flags. Coaches will teach basic football strategy, skills and agility using drills and mini-game play. This class is a great building block into our next level NFL Flag Football program.

Get the most out of the short days and cold weather! Join our HAWK Cornhole League. our Indoor league utilizes our HAWK cornhole board to provide a fun and social atmosphere. Teams consist of two players and can use substitutions any week except for playoffs. Each team will face-off in two best-of-three game series each week. There will be a playoff bracket the last week. Elimination rules for the playoff will be specified prior to the last week. Beer and wine bar will be available to league participants 21 years and older during and between game play. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winners. Registration is only required for one person per team.
