Acrylic paint is a desired medium for many artists due to its drying time and flexibility. In this class, participants will explore techniques and materials to further develop their skills. This is a great class to take more than once to deepen your understanding of the medium and further develop your personal style. Students must provide their own supplies.

Learn the basics of screen printing through accessible processes that can be easily replicated at home. In this course, students will explore color and image using paper stencils and the drawing fluid/screen filler methods for screen printing. Students will create a series of single and multi-color prints on paper while learning the potential of screen printing as a means of artistic expression for creating editions, monoprints, and artist books. Guided by their own interests, ideas, and images, students will investigate the printing process, exploring different methods to bring their vision to life on paper. All materials provided.

Build your skills in drawing with various media to create an emphasis on expressive line, shading, proportion, perspective, and other elements and principals of design. Students will work from scale model art figures, personal observation of self-portraiture and of peers, and from photographic references, learning how to translate 3-dimensional figures and faces into 2-dimensional images. Students must provide their own supplies.

Note that by registering for this class, you are eligible for 2D Open Studio for a small, additional fee. Open Studio provides an opportunity for class participants to work on their work in the studio, outside of class time.

This class encourages you to bring your passion for color, texture, imagination, and creativity to the table. You will learn about the materials used in mosaic and safe methods for applying them to your craft. The instructor will guide you in finding the combination of elements that feels right to you while providing the perfect amount of contrast by adding and eliminating pieces along the way. Bring your old dishes and colorful glass to smash up and repurpose into something exquisitely yours. No need to bring any supplies on the first day of class as the instructor will discuss potential supplies to provide for future classes.

Taught by artist Alessandra Lipman, and inspired by her personal work, this class teaches students how to create mixed media collages with fabric as the primary material. Students will learn to nurture their curiosity and intuition within this artform and bring new life to the richly patterned materials through this class.

Some materials are provided. Students will be asked to provide their own additional materials with Instructor guidance.

This class encourages participants to take their art through a whirlwind of materials, exploring how they interact with each other. Drawing, painting, sewing, scraping, printing, collage, and more – the possibilities of what you are able to create are endless. All supplies are included in the registration fee.

Our youngest class age, this is a great introduction to art for your littlest artist. Rooted in play and exploration, each student must be in attendance with a grown up. Team up to foster their creativity and help your little one develop problem solving and fine motor skills.

The methods taught in this class will support young artists in further developing the skills needed to create dynamic drawings. Learn about the elements and principles of design while applying them to your drawings using a variety of media. Students will work from photographic references and/or still-life observation, learning how to translate a 3-dimensional object into a 2-dimensional image. All materials supplied.

You asked and we answered. We're pleased to introduce this "You & Me" class for older youth and their grown up. During this fun, hands-on art class both youth and adult participants will get to work on individual, or maybe even collaborative, works of art. We'll explore, painting, drawing, and so much more. This is a great fun, encouraging, and low-pressure bonding experience for you and your child, or another grown up of their choosing.

When registering, please enroll the CHILD that will attend every week. A different grown up may attend each week, but they must be over 18+.

2D Open Studio provides an average of 15-20 access hours per week to work in the 2D Studio. Participants MUST be simultaneously enrolled in an adult class occurring in the 2D Studio. Please note that while a staff member will be present, this is non-instructed access to the studio and should be for individuals that can be mostly self-directed. Staff are available for questions, but are not able to provide instructional support. You may enroll for open studio at any time during the duration of your course, but fees are not prorated.

Whether you are new to wheel throwing or already have an established skill-set, this class will help you improve your technical abilities for creating functional work on the wheel. In addition to laying the foundational ground work for your wheel throwing education, you will also have opportunity to explore decorating and glazing techniques to apply to your work.

These youth centered, foundational ceramics classes have tailored lessons and projects for each age group. Students will create functional and sculptural works in clay utilizing fundamental hand building techniques like pinch, coil, slabs, and more. All participants will learn about the process of ceramics, from working in clay, to applying texture and color, and finally learning about the firing process. These are great classes to take more than once! All supplies are included in the registration fee.
