Prevent Scams & Financial Exploitation
The Farmington Area Commission on Aging is presenting a program on Scams and Financial Exploitation of Elders. The Commission wants senior members of the community to know that if they are being pressured to pay for something immediately, either through a telephone call, email, or text, that this is a telltale sign of a scam. These scammers frequently use a sense of urgency to confuse and prey upon their elderly targets. A free lunch will be offered after the presentation. Register by October 11 online, at Costick Center front desk. or by calling 248-473-1830. Space is limited.
